Hosin "David" Lee is the Director of the Labratory for Advanced Construction Technologies and Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at the University of Iowa. He has served as Director of CEE’s graduate studies in Transportation Engineering. He is a member of the Presidential Committee on Athletics and Faculty Senate/Staff Council Budget Committee. He has served as Chairman of the Engineering Faculty Council at the University of Iowa. Previously, Dr. Lee directed the State Center of Excellence for Advanced Construction Materials at the University of Utah. Dr. Lee received the Engineering Professor of the Year Award from the Utah Engineers Council and the Educator of the Year Award from ASCE Utah Section. He was chairman of ASCE T&DI Highway Pavement Committee and chairman of the 5th International Conference on Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Pavements and Technological Control (MAIREPAV5). He is a founder member of ISAP and iSMARTi, and a member of ASCE, ACI and ASTM. He received Road Engineering Excellence Award and Special Award from Korean Society of Road Engineers and is a member of National Academy of Engineering of Korea. He served as the 40th President of Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA). He recently appeared on the Arirang TV that broadcasts to 188 countries.
