Crumb Rubber Asphalt or Rubberized Asphalt, as it's sometimes referred to, is a process of blending crumb rubber produced from recycled waste tires into liquid asphalt cement (bitumen) to produce an extremely resilient high performance, modified binder that is used in the paving process. The hot mix asphalt that is produced with Asphalt Rubber binder creates a roadway that is significantly more durable, longer lasting, quieter and safer than roads paved with conventional asphalt.
